These rankings include all disciplines: Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, Off-Road Triathlon
To achieve All American status, an athlete must first be ranked. This requires finishing at least 3 sanctioned races for triathlon OR 2 races for other disciplines, AND finishing among the Top 10% of all ranked athletes nationwide within their age group.
Of our region’s nearly 6,000 annual members, 1,900 received a ranking and 327 members are All Americans, including 6 athletes who were AA in two disciplines. The region’s All Americans came from each of the Rocky Mountain states, including El Paso County in Texas.
Additionally, 26 athletes from the Rocky Mountain region were ranked #1 nationally in their discipline, and 50 were in the top 3 nationally. This includes Colorado’s Ellen Hart, who was #1 in triathlon and #2 in duathlon among women 55-59.
Specifically, Colorado had over 1300 ranked athletes, 255 of whom are All American.
Way to go Colorado!
