Bannock Street Crit looking for Volunteers

The 26th Annual Bannock Street Criterium in Memory of Mike Nields will be here soon, scheduled for Sunday August 4, 2019. What a huge milestone – 26 years, same course! We need a critical component to make our race successful: VOLUNTEERS on race day (YOU). I need to know that I can count on your help. THIS IS OUR RACE. Volunteer signups are on-line, or through our race website.

Please volunteer for more than one assignment if you are available. Full volunteer descriptions, race schedule, and a race course map can be found on our race website. Racing starts at 8am; so those early shifts should not be as daunting. We are expecting some significant racing this year, with teams coming to participate at the Littleton Crit the night before Bannock. Lots of prize money up for grabs in our area! Come on out and have some fun!

This year’s race is based again in the RMPBS parking lot and you’ll notice substantial (appearance) changes on the course due to all the construction projects. We’ll provide coffee and breakfast for those on the early shift, and lunch throughout the day for volunteers. I’m also having a commemorative shirt printed, that you’ll be proud to wear long after the race. Come on out and have some fun!

Proceeds from the race greatly contribute to our annual operating budget and allow the Club to continue its successful programming to youth. We have a high profile in the cycling community, and are well recognized for the work we do with kids of all ages and abilities. Please take a moment and commit to sharing a part of your day with our race. It will help me sleep better too.
