This Week in American Cycling will be USA Cycling’s digital weekly show recapping and previewing major cycling races in the U.S.
Colorado Springs, Colo. – USA Cycling today released the first episode of THIS WEEK IN AMERICAN CYCLING, in partnership with Cyclestream.tv and filmmaker Leah Sturgis, the weekly digital show will cover the people and stories of American cycling. The show will showcase events from the previous weekend, preview upcoming races, provide behind the scenes access and exclusive athlete interviews.
“We’re thrilled to launch a digital property with Cyclestream.tv that will provide American cycling, it’s top races and stars with a national stage accessible to the masses,” said Rob DeMartini, USA Cycling’s CEO and President. “Cycling fans now have a show that will deliver weekly updates on the domestic race scene, top riders and get them excited about what’s happening in the U.S. cycling community.”
THIS WEEK IN AMERICAN CYCLING will focus on the top U.S. races including the Pro Road Tour (PRT), Pro Mountain Bike Cross-Country Tour (PRO XCT), Pro MTB Gravity Tour (Pro GRT) and the Professional Cyclocross Calendar (PROCX). The show will also highlight USA Cycling National Team members and performances of top American riders domestically and internationally. Brad Sohner and Dave Towle, the voices of the top American races will host the weekly show, while additional sideline reporters and cycling celebrities will be included throughout the year.
Cyclestream.tv will also release a longer format show on their website extending the storytelling from races, top riders and provide unique behind the scenes stories from American cycling. At some races, to enhance the event coverage, Cyclestream.tv will utilize their high-definition cameras, transmitters and drones to capture additional footage to the level they unveiled at this year’s Redlands Bicycle Classic.
“Partnering with USA Cycling to provide cycling fans with two shows highlighting the best of American cycling will fill a great void in the sport. Our audience has been asking for more content about domestic cycling, and we’re thrilled to partner with USA Cycling to feature these great stories,” said Leah Sturgis, Cyclestream.tv’s founder.
