The Pro’s Closet Inc. (TPC) is the world’s largest retailer of previously-owned bikes and cycling gear. We purchase bikes and components from manufacturers, retailers, and individuals and work alongside bike shops to help customers trade in their old bikes for a new one. POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing the receiving, warehousing, and transfer services as well as supervising staff. Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.  Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.  Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.  Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Daily responsibilities include ensuring that all product is properly received, inspected, and prepared for scheduled transfers to the Boulder warehouse. This is a management role, but you are expected to get your hands dirty when necessary to receive, sort, assemble, or transfer product.

The position calls for someone who can manage a small team, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Maintaining a positive, helpful leadership attitude is imperative in this position. Flexibility and a willingness to help in any way possible are required and expected in our small, dynamic team environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifying received inventory details, applying labels, assembly of select inventory. Accuracy, Efficiency, and Presentation are the cornerstones of the receiving process.
Carefully un-packaging Bikes, Frames, and Wheels to validate/confirm receipt of proper goods.
Overseeing service writing standards and throughput.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. This includes cleaning and organizing shipping and bicycle tools, and cleaning/sweeping the work area.
Safeguard receiving warehouse inventory by establishing security protocols, and cycle counts.
As part of the Receiving department, will assist with duties as necessary.
Demonstrating proficiency with our computer systems and software.
Participate in the constant improvement of the Receiving Warehouse process and workflows.
Set goals and directives, as well as establish policies for your department.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

The Pro’s Closet Inc. offers a generous compensation package that includes 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 paid holidays and your birthday paid off as well as health and life insurance. QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 yrs experience in a shipping/receiving warehouse environment.
1-2 yrs management experience preferred.
College education or equivalent experience required.
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience with bicycles is a plus but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
