IRONMAN 70.3 World Champions

We are so proud of all the athletes who competed at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship race on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia this past weekend.
 
We are especially proud of our Colorado athletes.
Three women, who call the Front Range home, deserve some additional recognition.
Diana Hassel, Erin Carson and Ellen Hart.  These three women all finished top 10 in their AG.  Diana and Ellen have competed multiple times on the world stage.  Having only been involved in triathlon for a few years, Erin is proving to be a force to be reckoned with and I’m really glad I’m not in her age group, yet.
 
Diana finished 3rd in the 45-49 AG
Erin finished 6th in the 50-54 AG
Ellen finished 5th in the 55-59 AG
 
When perusing the results from the race, I noticed that most athletes home states hadn’t been identified.   I’m sure there were many great performances by our other Colorado athletes.
