Racing Underground Duathlon Seasion Begins in April!

Series gets Bigger & Better with New Spring Date
The Mile High Duathlon Series celebrates its 15th year with some big changes! The series has moved to a new spring schedule, making it a great tune-up series for area triathletes who are itching to test out their fitness before the busy summer tri season.
But that’s just the beginning!!!

We have also sanctioned the series with USA Triathlon this year, which means you can now earn points toward your national ranking by racing locally. Colorado has some of the best age group duathletes in the country, and now you can earn the ranking you deserve! And with Duathlon Nationals scheduled for July 19th, this makes the perfect series to prep you for the big show.
The Series kicks off on April 12th with an ALL NEW Big Sky Duathlon. The race has a new course, at an exciting new venue – Dick’s Sporting Goods Park! Expect a flat and fast bike course that is closed to traffic, and a scenic run on well maintained cinder running trails through Prairie Gateway Open Space.
Dick’s is conveniently located just minutes from I-70 and I-25, and is perhaps the most Spectator Friendly course in Colorado.
Race number two is the West Side Duathlon, with one of the best multisport courses in the state! This one takes place at the base of the foothills, in Arvada – just minutes from Golden or Boulder.
The series concludes with the Barkin’ Dog Duathlon – the biggest duathlon in the western US, on May 10th. This race sells out every year, and in 2014 it will serve as the USAT Rocky Mountain Regional Duathlon Championship and will offer a $1,000 prize purse.
As always, the series welcomes all ability levels, and has seen more than 2,000 first-time multisport athletes in its 15 year history.
