According to the International Winter Bike to Work Day website, Denver ranked second and Boulder ranked third among worldwide participating cities.
The Daily Camera reported Boulder is a “ripe audience” for such an effort, populated by citizens willing to brave the cold and stand up for a worthy cause.
This year marked the ninth for the worldwide challenge, and both Boulder and Denver showed up with strong numbers.
According to the Camera, “The international event challenges communities to trade in their cars for bikes. With Boulder being a mecca for sustainability and athleticism, bikers made a strong showing for the occasion.”
