A recent article in the Wall Street Journal caught my eye as it encapsulated something I’ve been thinking about lately.

Housing development has, for many years, assumed the automobile to be the primary means of transportation for the new home occupant. New single family homes have touted two, three and even four car garages. Condominiums and apartments have been required to provide two or more parking spaces per unit under local zoning ordinances. Local developers, in their marketing literature, have boasted easy access to the local freeway(s) and very optimistic driving times to downtown Denver.

Matter Cycles offers modern, custom bikes, handmade in Boulder, Colorado by Collin Schaafsma. Collin grew up on a farm racing motocross, building dirt jumps, and tinkering in the shop with a welder. This somehow led to art school, software engineering and a ton of bike riding/racing along the way. (And lets be honest there is nothing better than a little bike porn).

Racing in Colorado is like nowhere else. It's definitely a team effort. We have fantastic promoters, gorgeous scenery, stellar race officials and massive talent--even in the "amateur" ranks. Here's an interview BRAC ran a little while back on one of our favorite team players--Larry G, who happens to have a birthday today. Larry, thanks for doing what you do and making Colorado racing rad.
