As one of the largest providers of highly affordable quality products Planet Cyclery is looking for a bike enthusiast with customer service and sales experience to enjoy providing excellent outbound sales support, updating inventory content information as it comes up, and resolving customer needs with a vengeance.

Job Requirements:

6 plus months of sales and customer service or bike industry experience.
Experience with Zendesk, Shipstation, or other programs
Prior bike experience is expected, Industry experience is ideal – bottom line you need to know how to ride a bike
Weekend availability as needed, overtime can be a sweet thing though
The “Daily Grind”:

Provide initial contact to web form clients via email, phone, and Live Chat
Up-sell and cross-sell while providing a delightful customer service experience
Monitor online reputation for customers posting positive and negative feedback
Delivery excellent customer experiences through collaboration with other departments
Provide real time feedback in how to improve the customer experience

Follow standard operating procedures or innovate them when necessary
Remain relevant in industry news, systems enablement, and company culture and vibes

$14 – Based on experience – see below


Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

Bike Industry: 1 year (Preferred)

  1. I am interested in the Customer Service Specialist position you are advertising. I just retired from being a high school counselor for 44 years. I just moved to Colorado Springs a month ago. I have been an avid road cyclist for 30 years now and I have logged 14-20,000 miles each of the last 6 years. Those miles include commuting to work, club rides, distance cycling and races. I am a high energy guy and love to share my love for cycling. For 10 years I worked as a sales person (part-time) for Performance Bicycle in Tacoma. I participated in the UCI Gran Fondo championships in Italy in 2013, having biked from Tacoma to Santa Barbara 5 summers ago and 2 years ago road from Tacoma to Colorado Springs averaging 120 miles a day for 12 days.
    I am only interested in part-time work and working in Broomfield is not really an option for me unless it was only periodically and on a weekend day.
