BikeDenver Announces Departure of Executive Director

bikedenver_0Denver, CO (February 16, 2016) – BikeDenver’s Board of Directors and Executive Director, Molly North, announced that they have mutually agreed to part ways.

“The organization has grown under Molly’s leadership with both membership and staff doubling. As a result,
BikeDenver’s education and advocacy efforts have created a safer, more convenient and more connected Denver for people on bicycles. She is leaving the organization positioned for continued success with wonderful momentum from new branding, a fresh website and an impressive year-end fundraising campaign. We thank her for her dedication to BikeDenver” says President of the BikeDenver Board of Directors, Mark Chapman.

“I’ve had an incredible ride as the Executive Director for the past 2.5 years. We’ve come a long way in that time and I am very proud of the accomplishments of our tremendous staff. I am grateful to have had the extremely fulfilling and always challenging opportunity to advocate for people who bike in Denver,” said Molly North.

Piep van Heuven has been appointed the interim Executive Director to guide BikeDenver through the transition until a new Executive Director starts in May. Ms. van Heuven led BikeDenver as the Executive Director from 2008 – 2013.

BikeDenver will start the search for its next Executive Director starting February 23, 2016.
