Greeley man arrested in hit-and-run that seriously injured cyclist north of Boulder

A Greeley man was arrested this week after police say he struck a 17-year-old cyclist with his truck north of Boulder and then fled the scene.

Garrett Thomas Farr, 35, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of vehicular assault, leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury, failure to notify police of a crash, reckless driving, failure to obtain a valid Colorado registration within 90 days of becoming a resident, expired plates and passing on a shoulder.

According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, a cyclist was hit on U.S. 36 just north of Boulder on at about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.
