Cycling Community Sponsoring Essay Contest for Youths

By 303cycling.com

The Colorado Cycling community is looking for some fun, creative youths who are entering 7th through 12th grade to share why they love cycling and how cycling can make the world a better place.

Co-sponsoring the contest: 303 Endurance, Bicycle Colorado, Colorado High School Cycling League, Denver Post Community Foundation, Wheat Ridge Cyclery, Primal, Team Evergreen, Thorpe Marketing, Colorado Cycling, Hottman Law Office, and It Could Be Me. A full list of prizes will be published soon.

Says 303 Endurance Network Publisher and Owner, Bill Plock, who created the contest, “I wanted to find a way to involve as many great cycling organizations as I could to give youth a creative platform to tell us why they love bikes. At the same time I wanted the people in the cycling industry to see what our youth think of cycling and maybe find new ways to connect and inspire us all.”

The logo and name was crafted by long time triathlete and owner of Rock Solid Design Andy Schmit. “It was a great collaboration,” said Schmit. “Finding a creative name for the contest and creating the brandmark was a lot of fun. It’s what I do.”
