Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s

Lone Tree

Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s draws hundreds each year to join the fight against Parkinson’s Disease. We will be starting at Sweetwater Park in Lone Tree, CO. With multiple distances to choose from, there is a route for participants of all levels.  All money raised from riders will be donated to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Whether you’re a rider, sponsor, or volunteer, every effort counts.

Research shows that bicycling can have tremendous benefits to people with Parkinson’s, well beyond those enjoyed by all cyclists. Vigorous cycling can sometimes reduce symptoms for hours or days afterwards. If you, or someone you know has Parkinson’s, please consider this opportunity to ride again, and help increase awareness of the many benefits of cycling.

Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s

Lone Tree

We are three Denver area women, Laura Fiske, Lauren Williams, and Jackie Williams, united to help find the cure for Parkinson’s Disease.  A big part of our motivation comes from some inspirational dear friends, who have experienced Parkinson’s Disease, but it goes beyond that.  We have participated in other charitable events in Colorado, and wanted to start something here that would help Parkinson’s patients everywhere.  We love biking, and it has recently been discovered that Parkinson’s patients can benefit greatly from bicycling therapy, so this seemed like a natural fit.

Since we began this project, we’ve learned of many of our friends and family whose lives have been touched by Parkinson’s Disease. Whether or not you have experienced the challenges of the disease, we hope you’ll join us in fighting for a cure!
