A Climb, A Crit, A Tri and Fun

Another action-packed weekend has come and gone. Over 500 people raced up Mount Evans in the Annual Bob Cook Memorial Hill Climb (results HERE) with Keegan Swirlbul winning for the men with a time of 1:43.52 (16.1mph avg) and Annie Toth winning for the women with a time of 2:16:05 (12.3 mph avg). The 27 mile course climbs over 7,000 feet and tops out above 14,000 feet on the chilly top of Mt. Evans. Photos found here: Reid Neureiter

In Stapleton, Team Palmeras hosted the Stapleton Criterium with over 300 people taking to the grounds of the old airport. Here are the results for all the categories that raced, congratulations to all! Results HERE. Brent Murphy photos can be found HERE

In Steamboat, Without Limits brought us the Steamboat Sprint Triathlon, Aquabike and SUP Tri (results HERE) with Eric Kenny and Sara Mercer taking home the victories.

IRONMAN Lake Placid took place yesterday with Colorado’s, Joe Gambles taking second and local pro’s Tripp Hipple and Colin Laughery competing in one of sports iconic races. All results HERE.

Meanwhile in Iowa, at the annual RAGBRAI Bike event, https://ragbrai.com some 50,000 cyclists rode across Iowa with many Coloradans participating and locally owned and operated Primal partied with some 303 folks in Burlington Iowa. This event should really be on every cyclists bucket list with it’s truly unique format and long standing traditions.
