Dash n’ Dine Has a New Owner

Dear Dash n’ Dine Athletes,
What a great spring we had; Perfect weather, good food, fast times, and many laughs! Six years ago Tony and I were proud to take over the Dash n’ Dine Series after a two year absence from founder Greg Cunningham. Over that time span we’ve truly enjoyed our spring time Tuesday nights as we watched many of you run your first 5k, watched some capture a new PR, and over these years many of you have become friends. However, all good things come must come to an end. Don’t fear, the Dash n’ Dine is not going anywhere. For the 2017 season we’re proud to announce Todd Straka will be taking over the ownership of the Dash n’ Dine 5k Series. While we won’t miss the occasional April blizzard we will miss sharing a good Wahoos Fish Taco with you post-race!
So who’s this Todd guy and are we in good hands? The easy answer is Todd is one of you. For many of the past six years every Tuesday night Todd was lining up right alongside you. He knows the Dash n’ Dine Series inside in out, and has some great new ideas to take your future race experience to the next level. It’s that passion and love for the running world that made Todd the perfect fit to pass the baton off to for the next 6 years. For more information on Todd’s background and his message to all past Dash n’ Dine runners please see below. On behalf of myself, Tony, and the entire Without Limits Crew we want to thank you for some great memories over the years, and hope to see you all at another Without Limits event in the future.
Sincerely,
Lance, Tony, and the Without Limits A-Team
Message From Todd Straka and please be sure to visit the new event website www.dashndine5k.com come 2017!
Hello fellow Dash n’ Diners.
I have always enjoyed taking part of this local race series over the years and believe it’s one of the best spring events in our area. At its core, it has a strong, vibrant, supportive community of runners not afraid to take on a little spring weather now and again, to test our fitness and celebrate our accomplishments along the way.
I am excited about the opportunity to carry on the Dash n’ Dine tradition that Tony, Lance and the Without Limits team fostered and passionate about building on that tradition. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, a wide range of runners from seasoned to beginners alike, to share in your story and celebrate with you each week.
While I have a few ideas in mind for next year’s series, I would love to hear from you all, about what you love about the series and how you may like to see it grow.

I am always on a journey to find balance between work and family. Being a competitive master’s runner, enjoying local races from the mile to the marathon, or just the quiet moments on the trails around Boulder and often stopping to snap a few pictures. I’ve lived in Boulder for over 23 years, participated in many, many races and I was a coach for Fast Forward for the last 2 years and 3 years before that encouraging runners to reach their own goals.
I am a regular contributor to BoulderRunning.com and I am the co-publisher of the first ever Boulder Running Journal. 186 pages with 200 full-color photos celebrating the achievements, people, places and running culture of Boulder in 2015. You can find me on twitter and Instagram at @BoulderRunner
I am looking forward to dashing and dining with you,
Todd Straka
