The Ride Collective is Seeking Event Coordinator

The Ride Collective is currently seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to help support and execute their collection of cycling events and races. This person will be joining a fun and dynamic team of full-time and contract employees that work remotely.

The Ride Collective is a portfolio of eight professionally-produced events and races in both Colorado and New Mexico in the disciplines of road, gravel and mountain biking. Host venues and terrain vary from the Front Range to the Rocky Mountains to the High Desert. TRC strives to create an inclusive culture where cyclists of most all abilities can enjoy a curated experience both on and off the bicycle. For some it’s about the challenge, others do it for a cause, but everybody enjoys surfing the energy of its participants; events range from 300 to 3,000 people, plus their friends and family.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for a combination of customer service, partner relations, volunteer coordination and administrative support. Tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Customer Service (predominantly by email)
BikeReg Management
Assembling Registration Packets & Materials
Overseeing Event Registration
Volunteer Staff Coordination
Merchandise Fulfillment
Exhibitor Outreach & Sales
Non-profit Group Recruitment & Coordination
Calendar Listings
Mail List Management
Administrative Support

Qualifications:

Previous experience running special events
Previous experience in customer relations
Strong writing and communication skills
Experience in leading and organizing volunteers
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
Thorough and strong attention to details
Ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere
Passion and knowledge of outdoor recreation
Strong computer skills including WordPress, Google and Microsoft Office
Four year degree – Marketing, Communication, Event Management preferred
Must reside in Colorado; preferably the Front Range / Denver-Metro Area

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is hourly / non-exempt from February – September with a pay range of $17 – $22 per hour with a phone stipend of $50 per month. Please note this position does not include medical benefits. Applicants must be willing to travel and work a flexible schedule to support the following events:

Crooked Gravel and Sunrise to Sunset Winter Park – July 22
Copper Triangle – August 5
Enchanted Circle – August 12
Tour of the Moon – September 9
Tour de Vineyards – September 16
