Boulder County and city officials are in the early stages of connecting two trails north of Boulder that will take cyclists and pedestrians off of a narrow bike path on Spine Road and the shoulder of Jay Road.
“We’ve gotten a lot of input over the years,” Boulder County Regional Trails Planner Matt Wempe said. “People want an alternative to riding on Jay Road. That’s what is driving the project.” Read more

Several meetings are being held in February to collect the public’s input on what one resident describes as the “difference between the transportation infrastructure that’s in place or needed for commuters, and the infrastructure for recreational cycling on open space trails.” Read more
