Job Description:

This position will be best filled by a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast paced, intimate environment in tandem with an actively growing, evolving business. Outside of everyday accounting responsibilities, this person will actively contribute to the fluidity of our team by refining our processes and implementing new ones. The ideal candidate must have proven accounting experience, preferably with a global business. Strong systems experience, outside of Quickbooks and preferably on Microsoft Navision, is also desired. The senior accountant will have the ability to perform day to day financial tasks as well as have experience with month end analysis and reporting for management. Our Senior Accountant works out of the North Boulder Office and reports directly to the President of the Company; we will consider local candidates only to fill this position.

 

Requirements + Responsibilities:

  • Post and process journal entries, ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Work with A/R and A/P to ensure proper recording of transactions
  • Manage payroll records including state and federal quarterly filings
  • Assist in preparing budget and financial forecasts
  • Conduct monthly and year-end reconciliations of accounts
  • Secure financial information via data base back up
  • Calculate quarterly affiliate fees
  • Complete monthly sales tax returns
  • Assist outside CPA with annual company tax returns
  • Maintain all vendor-related accounting, including preparing 1099s
  • Work with US team to develop appropriate dashboard business reports
  • Assist with inventory management, reporting, and accuracy as related to sales and purchasing
  • Coordinate with global team to implement Navision and associated accounting procedures
  • Support financial operations for associated global entities
  • Strong systems and software experience including MS Navision, Intuit Payroll, and MS Excel
  • Experience with full cycle GL accounting, GAAP, and maintaining internal controls
  • Manage employee benefits
