Boulder’s RockyMounts gets back into bike shops with lock line
Car rack maker diversifying as retail declines, online sales blossom
For 25 years, Boulder’s RockyMounts has done one thing, and done it incredibly well: car racks to schlep bikes and skis and all manner of outdoor gear.
But the business last year began to branch out. The rack game is changing, and founder Bobby Noyes decided to diversify with a line of bike locks that will return the brand to where it started: Boulder’s independent bike shops.
