Nagel has directed over two dozen cycling events where she focused on technical operations, permitting, staffing, permissions, budget oversight and rider experience.

“Bicycling and organizing cycling events are my passions and I’m honored to have the opportunity to be a part of this great tradition,” says Nagel. “I understand the community that has been built around this event and passion riders have for it and look forward to doing my part to preserve it.”

Nagel originally from Glenwood, Iowa now resides in Littleton, Colorado and enjoys producing events, traveling and spending time with her horse.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my expertise in producing events that are safe, interesting, fun and memorable,” says Nagel. “I want everyone to feel that they are the most important person at the event whether they are a rider, crew, volunteer, vendor or sponsor.”

Get to know Sabra

How long have you been producing cycling events?

I’ve been in the cycling production business in a variety of capacities since 2006, but specifically creating and producing events since 2010.

What do you love about cycling?

It’s a fantastic, all inclusive sport. Anyone can ride, or learn to ride and it’s one of the few sports where with a little consistency you can feel improvement in your fitness and your skill level everyday.

What do you hope to bring to Ride the Rockies?

My track record in producing events that are safe, interesting, fun, and memorable to everyone involved. I want everyone to feel that they are the most important person at the event whether they are sponsors, vendors, riders, crew, or volunteers.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Travel is always at the top of my list, but on a day to day basis I like to spend an hour or two with my horse.

What motivates you?

Challenges. Taking a challenge and creating a solution that is agreeable to everyone is why I love producing events.
