PeopleForBikes Coalition is seeking an office manager + bookkeeper who will be responsible for office management duties, plus assisting with bookkeeping needs, as outlined below. While the primary focus of the role is Office Manager, about 20% of daily duties will be devoted to bookkeeping. In addition, this person will assist with other special projects as assigned. By uniting millions of individual riders, businesses, community leaders and elected officials, we’re improving conditions for people who ride bikes and thereby improving the world through bicycling. We focus on supporting initiatives to enhance cycling infrastructure nationwide, and strive to make every bike ride safer, more convenient, fun and accessible. The right candidate will join the team at our downtown Boulder headquarters where the vibe is fun, dynamic and team-oriented.
Essential Functions:
Directly oversees office administration duties including, but not limited to, coordinating the upkeep and maintenance of a small office, IT and AV, kitchen and break-room, and restocking of supplies (to complement our external office cleaning crew)
Coordinating all aspects of staff travel, plus facilitating travel arrangements for partners and guests
Logistical management of board meetings and other Boulder events, and assistance with out-of-town events as needed
Assist staff with the coordination and development of meetings, events and tradeshow materials
Performs data entry projects using our SalesForce software database and Excel including posting receipts and contact updates
Collaborates with other staff to manage member and recruitment communications, including mailings and electronic communications
Interfaces with vendors (Comcast, AT&T, IT consultants, etc.) as directed
Fulfills requests for printed materials and swag items
Contributes to the success of the organization by leading or assisting with various projects and tasks as assigned
Bookkeeping Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs bookkeeping tasks, using QuickBooks for Windows, for Vice President of Finance. Primary tasks include preparing bank deposits, entering payables and staff credit card charges into QuickBooks.
• Other bookkeeping duties as assigned
• Serve as a contact person for general human resources needs, assisting Vice President of Finance
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Attention to detail and extremely well organized
Team player who works well with others and has a positive, friendly, can-do
Ability to embrace multiple projects, prioritize and work quickly in support of
A self starter who looks for ways to improve office organization and group
Experience working with QuickBooks
A solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Familiarity with SalesForce database software is a plus
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An ability to be flexible in the face of changing priorities and requirements
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Enthusiasm for bicycling in all its forms
Direct experience in the bicycling industry, outdoor industry, or a nonprofit spirit multiple team members efficiencies highly desirable
