Lafayette’s Blue Cycles adds Womens Race Team

Maybe the upcoming Colorado Classic’s all women’s pro racing format is setting the stage? Lafayette’s Blue Competition Cycles is excited to announce its new Blue Factory Team racing Colorado’s cycling scene. Comprised of 6 Jr. and Collegiate young women all located here in Colorado the team is already making itself known in local events. Introducing Ashley Zoerner, her sister Lauren Zoerner, Carly Wregen, Olivia Cummins, Taylor Johnson and Tea Wright. These girls have a passion for cycling and look to have fun on the road, track and cyclocross events this year. Some of their big goals are the Olympics on the track with Olivia being on the U.S. Olympic development team and both Ashley and Lauren looking to make it to Worlds Cyclocross Championships. BLUE is branching out from its traditional Pro/Elite sponsorship to help these amateur athletes by providing each of them with the Axino road bike fully-equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace and carbon wheels. The team is helped tremendously by the support of Cari Higgins and Melton Jr. Cycling out of Boulder.

A few pics attached from the recent Mod Market Omnium…Olivia took 1st both days in the 1/2 field so nice showing.
