RTD is hosting two public meetings in November to get feedback about transit improvements, first/final mile access, travel time, and bike access as part of the SH 119 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Study.
The two meetings (Nov 15 in Longmont and Nov 16 in Boulder) will seek to evaluate impacts to bikes on the corridor, and there may be a potential for a bikeway, modeled after the existing US 36 Bikeway.
No buses on the shoulder!
It’s very important to include in comments that we would like to see A SEPARATED BIKEWAY THAT IS PAVED AND DIRECT. We need some consistency and we need them not to say the LoBo works or to keep a facility beside the speeding cars. I’ve been talking to people of a range of ages and abilities. Most people do not want to ride on the Diagonal itself even though the corridor could serve them directly. Imagine the possibilities for access to recreation, commuting, and more.

We also need to make it is done and usable BEFORE BRT is allowed.
