Golden Bike Shop is looking to fill both full-time year-round and seasonal mechanics positions for our shop in downtown Golden. The seasonal position is guaranteed through Sept. 30, with potential for winter ski tech employment at our sister shop – Bent Gate Mountaineering – for the right candidate.
We are a small, independent, dirt-focused shop that is stoked to ride and service all bikes. We carry Pivot, Santa Cruz, Yeti, Spot, Salsa, and Surly and have the premier demo fleet in the Front Range with over 70 bikes.
A strong aptitude for servicing forks, shocks, linkages, hydraulics, droppers and electronic shifting are necessary to excel in this position. We work in a laid-back environment but a professional attitude, mindfulness and attention to detail is a must. We are a high volume shop with a high level of quality control, so applicants are required to have at least some amount of recent shop experience and a demonstrated ability to be a team player. You must be comfortable and well-mannered when interacting with customers – we want you to build a relationship with them. Luckily the GBS family rocks – it’s not terribly hard to talk trails and tech with them.
