How many times have you raced Kona? This will be number 16
What is your favorite non-race activity on the Big Island – if you have not been – what non-race activity are you most excited about? Every year we rent boats out of Honokohau Harbor with our good buddies and whoever else wants to join and head to Captain Cook’s to snorkel and swim with the dolphins
What is your favorite bike training route? Fort Collins – Masonville – Eden Valley – Carter Lake – Hygeine – and back
What is your favorite post workout/post race treat? Ice cream
What was one unexpected occurrence on your path to Kona? So far, no big surprises!
Who do you think will win the pro men’s and women’s races this year? Daniela is likely to dominate if she has a decent day, but I think Rinny will be on her tail this year, ready to pounce if anything goes wrong. My dream is for Tim O’Donnell to win, but if I had money on it, I would bet on the rookie, Javier Gomez.
