Fort Collins, CO
Niner Bikes and FoCo Fondo, a cycling event company, have announced a partnership for FoCo Fondo’s signature event: the FoCo Fondofest, a gravel ride and family festival on August 4th, 2018. The partnership aligns two forward-thinking bike brands, both integral parts of the Northern Colorado cycling culture.
The FoCo Fondofest, now in its third year, adds two new gravel routes for 2018: a 12-mile family-friendly route and a 25-mile scavenger hunt, in addition to the challenging classic 50-mile adventure and ultimate Bike the Bullet 100-mile challenge. Niner will be offering on-site bike demos at FoCo Fondofest’s finishing festival, along with special VIP day-of demos and giveaways. Check out Niner’s gravel video from last summer: Why do you gravel?
Niner Bikes, initially famous for their 29er mountain bikes, has innovated a range of gravel bikes, ranging from the crème de la crème of gravel steeds – the RLT RDO – to the cyclocross-specific RSB 9 RDO. Contemporary designs and tire clearance make Niner’s RLT one of the most versatile bikes around. Frame mounts on steel and aluminum framesets provide ideal options for any rider’s off-road needs. Niner makes road, gravel racing, and bike packing adventures accessible. Niner offers the RDO frameset in Carbon (RDO), steel, or aluminium, or the RLT at different build levels depending on your preference and price point.
Also new for 2018, the FoCo Fondofest finishes with a cycling festival at New Belgium Brewing, complete with live music, an announcer, vendors, Niner bike demos, a kids course, food trucks, and, of course, New Belgium beer. Register at focofondo.com. The event donates a portion of profits to Safe Routes to School, a Fort Collins program with the objective of getting more kids on bikes for transportation and exploration.
The FoCo Fondofest fills the space between sanctioned races and supported group rides. The event provides adventure for the whole family, scratching the competitive itch for some, but first and foremost giving riders the experience of a lifetime. Riders will pass through remote old-time western towns, grasslands, parks, and open spaces before making their way back to New Belgium Brewing for a festival celebrating cycling.
