Cyclocross Racing, Dirt is Crushing It, Upcoming Clinic To Make More Popular

Of course some people did both the Schoolyard Cross at the Dawson School and the Shimano GRX “Bowl of Death” race in Louisville.

But with more and more juniors participating in the crazy fast growing High School Mountain League, there are certainly more and more potential cross racers in that category.

This coming weekend on October 26th, the High School Colorado Cycling League is teaming up with Feedback Sports and the Bicycle Racing Association of Colorado to offer juniors a chance to race cross. This from the latest BRAC newsletter:

“We want to invite you directly to the Feedback Cup on October 26th. Feedback Sports is also a sponsor of the league, so they are happy to work with us on this endeavor. It takes place in Golden, and you can check out their schedule here. We have designed a course perfect for young mountain bikers, and are going to be holding a clinic around 1:30 PM, prior to the junior races, so that you could learn from some of the best coaches around. If you do not have a USA Cycling license, no problem. We will take care of that for you. In Cyclocross, we have 5 different age groups of juniors — 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18. Most of you would fall into the 15-16 or 17-18 race groups, but if you have younger siblings that ride, we can find a group for them too.

Click here for the registration page for the Feedback Cup. P.S., it is a tad cheaper if you do pre-register, but everyone is welcome to just show up on race day too.

We have been working with Kate, the Feedback Cup, and our coaches to give you a fun experience. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Shawn Farrell directly. I met many of you in Eagle.”
