CU Boulder mountain biker suffers broken arm on Boulder County’s Hall Ranch

A University of Colorado Boulder student broke her arm after falling while mountain biking at Hall Ranch Open Space in Boulder County on Tuesday.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County Parks and Open Space and the Lyons Fire Department were called at 4 p.m. on a report of an injured mountain biker about 2 miles up the Bitterbrush Trail.

Lia Westerman, 19, hit a rock, fell from her bike and broke her arm. She was taken by ambulance to Boulder Community Health’s Foothills Hospital for treatment after being assisted by rescue personnel.
