Content Management Specialist – SmartEtailing (Temporary)

A positive and friendly outlook is mandatory and an appreciation for cycling, fitness or outdoor sports is a plus.

SmartEtailing is looking for temporary help—starting March 1st and extending for a minimum of six months, possibly longer depending on business needs—in our quest to serve all the brands of the bike industry and our client base of local bike shops. Prior work with a content management system is a plus.

Job Purpose
SmartEtailing supports over 1,100 independent bicycle retailers in North America. Assist in converting websites for our clients to our new and exciting responsive templates. Your day to day tasks will include content management, data entry, and collaboration with our engineering team. Other duties may include basic Photoshop work as needed.

Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Lead Front-End Developer who reports to the Software Development Manager respectively. The Content Management Specialist does not have any direct reports.

Job Tasks, Responsibilities, Accountabilities
• Work in our CMS to convert websites to our new responsive templates.
• Manage content entry and content edits on live websites.
• Work with the Front-End Development team to migrate and improve our clients websites.
• Perform bug testing and reporting on websites.
• Ability to focus on quality and quantity in the face of repetitive work.
• Other duties assigned may include basic Photoshop work, or require basic HTML/CSS knowledge.

Job Qualifications
• Knowledge/Skills: Experience working in a CMS (wordpress,drupal,squarespace), Internet technologies and content management (data entry) systems.
• Abilities: attention to detail, putting yourself in retailer’s/customer’s shoes.
• Experience: Data entry experience, retail/bike industry experience a plus.
• Education: High school graduate, current college students encouraged to apply
• Behavioral Attributes: Learn quickly, excellent communication skills, enjoy teamwork, deadline/goal oriented, sweating the details of our CMS to make sure everything is correct, consistent, mistake-free.
• Bonus points: Experience with HTML/CSS and Photoshop.
