This year’s race has a new name, but it is brought to you by the same team of cyclocross fanatics that produced the last two Lucky Pie GPs. All the best features of Northglenn’s Northwest Open Space are back, and we’ve opened-up the course to make it faster with more flow and more fun. A pro-style asphalt start and a large, double-sided pit anchor a course on the most balanced mix of terrain on the Front Range: grassy berms and off-cambers; multiple bridge crossings; a large and long dirt pile, terraformed for your riding or run-up pleasure. Plenty of room between technical sections to put the hammer down and pass. Take a trip through the “Freaky Forest” each lap and make sure to grimace for the camera as you pass—dress in your Halloween best to win the award for top costume! There is ample space for team tents at the venue. Republic Cycles will be on hand for wrench support and Lucky Pie Pizza returns with last year’s post-race favorite, the mobile pizza oven.
