Kokopelli Trail Mountain Bike Trip
May 18 - May 21
Loma, Co – Moab, Ut
This trip to Kokopelli’s Trail is sponsored by Team Evergreen Cycling and South Park Adventure Guides.
If you are ready for great food, and a challenging mountain bike adventure, then this is the trip for you. After a hard day of riding you will be treated to excellent food, socializing with new friends and a refreshing shower. Our typical seafood night includes Alaskan King Crab Legs, Maryland Crab Cakes and grilled Salmon.
The route will follow Kokopelli’s Trail starting in Loma Colorado with some awesome side loop single track riding along the Colorado River when we pass through Rabbit Valley (Western Rim Trail). In addition, on our last day we will link the UPS, LPS and upper Porcupine Rim trail to have a 4,000′ decent to the Colorado River just outside of Moab (end).
A support vehicle will carry your gear during the ride, so you will be riding light. Please only one duffel per person due to limited space. You are responsible for providing your own tent (or arrange to share one), a sleeping bag, a pad and personal gear. We will also provide a suggested packing list.
We will do this trip with a minimum of 10 and maximum of 20 riders, rain or shine. This is an all-inclusive fully supported trip! Trip fee for Team Evergreen Cycling members is $630.
You will be expected to bring a tuned bike and a body that can ride all day but sag is always available. A bike mechanic will be along and can help with bike repairs as needed.
Ride Stats: approximately 146 miles with 12,500 feet elevation gain. Ride starts at Loma, ends at Moab. Ride time: 6+ hours each day.
Day 1: Loma Trailhead to Rabbit Valley camp approx. 26 miles.
Day 2: Rabbit Valley to Dewey Bridge approx. 48 miles.
Day 3: Dewey Bridge to Rock Castle Camp approx. 40 miles.
Day 4: Rock Castle Camp to Moab via Porcupine Rim trail Hwy 128 – approx. 32 miles.
