Front Range Cycling Outreach Breakfast

On August 20th, in collaboration with the Denver Police Department – District 1 and the Sun Valley Youth Center, the Front Rangers Cycling Club will host it’s 2nd  2016 youth outreach program.   Starting at the Sun Valley Youth Center, an organization committed to giving Denver’s poorest neighborhood a hope for the future, the Front Rangers will lead a ride to Confluence Park for a picnic lunch and some water time before returning back to the Youth Center where the youth will be presented with Back to School back packs filled with supplies.

 

Safety Rodeo:  Oversee the bike safety rodeo teaching the kids key safety elements.

Bike Mechanics:  We need folks to help do bike checks on all the bikes – tires, brakes, etc.

Check-in & Set-up: Set-up nutrition/hydration area & check-in area. Check in the youth, assign a bike, helmet and get the youth going!

Ride Leaders:  Ride and guide the youth on bikes!

Lunch Set-Up:  Help set-up and serve the picnic lunch at Confluence Park

 

Basic Schedule:

  • 8:30am – Volunteers onsite
  • 9:30 – 10:30 am Breakfast, Check- In
  • 10am – 11am  Bike Safety Rodeo
  • 11am – 1pm Ride & Lunch
