The Toughest One Day Ride In the USA ..To Defeat ALS
The DEATH RIDE Challenge covers 235 miles over ONE DAY with about 16,500 feet of elevation gain. This is a very CHALLENGING bike ride and designed only for the ULTRA experienced cyclist who have trained properly. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETED A DOUBLE CENTURY OR THE DEATH RIDE LOOP PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING THE DEATH RIDE CHALLENGE. THE COARSE WILL BE OPEN FROM 3:00AM – 8:00PM ON JUNE 11TH, 2017. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE COARSE WITHIN THE 17 HOUR TIME LIMIT. RIDERS NOT ABLE TO FINISH IN THE 17 HOUR TIME LIMIT WILL BE PULLED OFF THE COARSE.
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A PHONE OR EMAIL INTERVIEW WITH THE EVENT DIRECTOR BEFORE YOUR REGISTRATION IS CONFIRMED. BE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR BICYCLE SERVICED BEFORE THE DEATH RIDE Challenge AT YOUR LOCAL BIKE SHOP. LIGHTS are REQUIRED both front & back for the DEATH RIDE Challenge.
The DEATH RIDE Challenge is the Toughest One Day Ride In the USA to Defeat ALS. It is a charity fundraising event to support ALS Research to find a Cure. Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $300 in contributions or have a Sponsor in the amount of $300 by June 10th, 2017. The DEATH RIDE Challenge is a Non-Profit 501c3 event and all contributions are tax deductible.
