Boulder: Coffee + Bicycles with the Founders of THESIS

June 9 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Boulder

If you’re in the Denver area next Saturday, June 9th, join THESIS founders Randall Jacobs and Alice Liu at Rapha (1815 Pearl St) in Boulder between 3-5pm to grab a coffee, talk gravel and adventure riding, and check out our latest OB1 bicycle prototypes.

Bring all your bike-nerd or gravel-curious friends. The OB1 is a customizable high-end carbon bike that rips road, shreds gravel, and loves to travel — the one bike for every road. It’s our rebellious response to the myth of N+1, built with obsessive curation and mechanics’ approval.

We’ll be answering questions, sharing what we have planned for the coming months, chatting about the future of the bike industry, and making fun of Randall for being a former pro mountain biker who no longer owns a mountain bike.

Come check out the OB1 for yourself and learn more about what we’re building at THESIS. We’re only in town for a few days, and we’d love to see you.

///// You’ll dig the OB1 if you… /////

– Want one bike that does everything well instead of a stable of narrowly focused ones.
– Are gravel-curious. Come on, just admit it.
– Are dreaming up your next bikepacking or touring trip
– Get frustrated or confused when you’re looking for your next bike
– Secretly wish your current road bike or tri bike could be more comfortable
– Wonder what the actual differences are between a road bike, gravel bike, cyclocross bike, bikepacking bike, and speed touring bike (hint: mostly tire clearance, mounts, and marketing with subtle geometry differences at the extremes)

///// About THESIS /////

THESIS is a new type of bicycle company. Through our direct-to-consumer model and deep partnerships with the industry’s top factories, the OB1 arrives straight on your doorstep at a revolutionary price. Check out the OB1 at https://thesis.bike.

THESIS is the brainchild of Randall R. Jacobs, a former pro cyclist, mechanic, product and market developer at Specialized, serial entrepreneur, and advisor to cycling technology companies. Together with Alice S. Liu, a mission-driven entrepreneur, we’re tackling some of the bike industry’s challenges through an approach of evidence-based thinking, integrity, and radical inclusion.

///// Our THESIS /////

We dream of a future where more people ride bicycles for a healthier, happier planet. Here’s our promise to you:

Integrity: No corner cutting or made-up acronyms. We offer you only the high quality components we use ourselves, giving you every genuine benefit available. We make decisions for the good of our riders and stakeholders, not for the sake of investor returns.

First principles thinking: We take a level-headed, evidence-based approach to all that we do. We question all assumptions, and we make our decisions with independent testing and third-party lab data. We stand behind every bearing, material, specification, and manufacturing process.

Radical inclusion: We’re not interested in ego. We welcome cyclists of all stripes and riding ability. We are united by our love for bicycles, the journeys they take us on, and the joy that comes from powering through the struggle.

Accessibility: By going direct-to-consumer and skipping multiple layers of middlemen, we’re able to give you a revolutionary price on a high-end bicycle.
