• Short Track here and there

Submitted by Kris Thompson on June 26th, 2008

Last night was day 4 at the CU Cycling Short Track and the course was wonderful. At least wonderful for myself because I put the cross bike away for this event and pulled out my newly acquired 29’er with gears (no single speeding it this time), and that bike just floats over the course requiring little to no handling skills unlike the cx bike does.  Read more

The Famous Boulder Roubaix is going clipless! Looks like the folks at DBCEvents.com never stop to come up with great ideas to hosting great events and making $$. Both races (bike and running) are on nearly the same course on the same day with the running part going way before the bike races so it should be possible for some to run & bike in the same day! Read more

            • Rock the River Road Race

Submitted by Kris Thompson on June 16th, 2008

What a cool race. I did this race last Saturday and the course was fantastic. It had a little of everything from rolling hills to dirt to a couple of decisive climbs. If you are ever out near Glenwood Springs and want a really cool ride to do check out the course. The course was out and back with about 15 miles of great dirt road. The dirt section was smoother than the chip seal. The scenery along the course was great as the road follows the Colorado River. Hopefully the race is held next year. Read more

This week’s CU Short Track Race went much better than last weeks. I raced in the B’s starting in the caboose since I was a CX single speeder and with a field as large as this one the opening lap was the usual parade lap.  Read more
