The Breck 100 is a long time staple of the Rocky Mountain Endurance Series, and it is widely regarded as one of the hardest 100 mile bike races in North America. With nearly 14,000 feet of high altitude climbing in Breckenridge, Colorado, it takes a special mountain bike racer to pull off a win here. This year, Bryan Dillon of Topeak Ergon would clinch the victory for the pro men with a time of 8:29:14, and Sari Anderson would claim the pro women’s victory.
Josh Tostado, “Mr. Breck 100” – 7-time winner completing his 11th race here, would hold off David Krimstock for 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The highlight of the race this year was the gorgeous sunny weather with temps in the 70’s and a light breeze to keep racers cool. Carter Park was the race headquarters where the cloverleaf loops circled back on themselves and the after-race party took place. All competitors, support crews, spectators, families – literally everyone in the venue – were treated to a gourmet buffet dinner and craft beers from Upslope Brewery. It was a good day to be in Carter Park!

ations placed about every 10 miles, the racers were kept well fueled and hydrated for their respective “tests”. There were three different disciplines, or distances, offered as is typical in RME Series racing, with this one being slightly longer than usual.
