Boulder Junior Cycling (BJC) is hosting a fundraising Bike Swap at the Elks Club in Boulder, April 7th, 2019. The BJC Bike Swap is an opportunity to buy and sell bikes, bike related gear, and clothing for adults and youth while supporting a 501(c)3 not-for-profit. BJC is accepting both donation and consignment items. Donated items receive a tax receipt while pre registering consignment items will get you automatically entered in a drawing for bike gear from BJC Sponsors, including a Single Speed Bike from Mobile Bike Man. High value and large donations can arrange a pickup by contacting BJC. Consignment items are to be “priced to sell” and 20% of the sale price, to a maximum of $300, goes to support BJC. Items must be clean and in good working condition, and have a minimum listing value of $25. Feel free to bundle items together, for example two jerseys and knee warmers, to be able to offer lower value items at the sale. BJC will be accepting payment through cash, credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo, and paying sellers via Check, Paypal and Venmo (smaller amounts only). Boulder Junior Cycling is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to develop, coach, and inspire junior cycling athletes. BJC was named USA Cycling’s Junior Club of the Year in 2018, and has been a USA Cycling Center of Excellence every year since 2008. BJC has over 180 athletes age 8-18 who participate in road, MTB, and cyclocross programs. Last year BJC distributed $10,000 in scholarships to riders who qualified. We are hoping to support more athletes in need.
