Boulder drunk driver pleads not guilty to hit & run that caused cyclist death

The 24-year-old woman accused of killing a Boulder cyclist in a hit-and-run crash while driving drunk is scheduled to stand trial in April after pleading not guilty to all charges this morning.

Callie Kuhasz, of Boulder, pleaded not guilty in Boulder District Court to vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, DUI — second alcohol offense, and weaving.

Chief Judge Maria Berkenkotter scheduled the 5-day jury trial to begin April 20, with a motions hearing set for March 9.

Supporters of William “Bill” Davis, the 35-year-old Boulder man killed in the hit-and-run, sat in the courtroom, remarking among themselves at the plea.
