Boulder police seek minivan involved in hit-and-run that injured bicyclist

Boulder police are searching for a minivan believed to have been in an hit-and-run crash that injured a bicyclist Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release, a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle turning into the King Soopers parking lot on Table Mesa Drive near Broadway. The bicyclist was thrown from the bicycle and had multiple broken bones and lacerations.

The driver involved left the scene. Police said the vehicle appeared to be a silver Dodge or Plymouth minivan that is three to four years old. Investigators said they believe the vehicle has damage to the passenger-side window and door.

Witnesses described the driver as a white male between 60 and 65 years, standing 5-feet-11-inches tall with grey hair and a full white beard.
