Wabi Cycles, a well-regarded maker of lightweight steel-framed single speed and fixed gear bicycles, is looking for a part-time bicycle builder to help at our shop in Aurora (where we’ve recently relocated to the Denver area). This is an opportunity to start at part-time, but potentially go to full-time as the company grows. The job also entails assisting with order fulfillment and
Responsibilities:
- Build bikes to order, including install bottom brackets/cranksets, install headsets, stress and true wheels, install brake calipers/levers/cables, etc.
- Prep component orders as needed, including framesets and wheelsets.
- Pack and fulfill bikes and component orders for shipping.
- Inventory management as needed.
Preferred requirements:
- Two years of professional bike service / bike assembly experience.
- Experience with online order fulfillment and inventory management , including using shipping/inventory software.
- Attention to detail. These are high-quality bikes that require care in building and packing.
- Passion for single speed and fixed gear bikes. You should love what you do.
Job Specifications:
- Shop is located in Aurora about a block from Stanley Marketplace.
- Hours will range from 15 to 30 hours per week based on seasonality of the cycling business (Higher in late Spring / Summer/ early Fall). Potential for full-time as business grows.
- Hours can be relatively flexible to suit schedules.
- Car needed for pick-ups and drop-offs as needed.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate between $14 – 18 depending on experience.
