This is an excerpt from a letter from Bicycle Colorado Executive Director, Pete Piccolo. By bidding, even if you don’t win, you then become a member of Bicycle Colorado. In a time where more people than ever are riding bikes, now is a good time to support an organization that works tirelessly to help make our experiences on bikes as safe and fun as possible.
| Something else that’s changed is the way we fundraise, and that’s why I’m writing you now. We’ve had to postpone our Gear Up! Fundraiser, originally scheduled in May, until our next fiscal year. To make up for new uncertainty in our annual budget, this morning we’re launching a virtual fundraiser that I hope you’ll participate in if you are able. We need your support now to help us keep up our work during the rest of 2020 and beyond. We hope to raise $50,000 in this week-long fundraiser, and we’ve got some great packages for you to take home in the silent auction. We’ve got two hand-knit bicycle sweaters for the toddlers in your life, maintenance kits to keep your bike in top shape, ride entries and much more for you to take home—even a guided multi-night excursion mountain biking Utah’s serene White Rim Trail. |
