USA Pro Cycling Challenge Stage 6 Finish Announcement

Stage 6 Finish will be at Flagstaff Amphitheater

Stage 6 Route
Route Start in Golden
- From Golden it goes to Boulder (assumption is Hwy 93)
- Race will travel through Boulder and there will be sprint points in downtown Boulder
- Up Boulder Canyon to Nederland
- North on Peak to Peak Hwy
- Drop down the South St Vrain into Lyons
- South on Hwy 36
- Up Lefthand road
- Up Lee hill road
- Back into Boulder
- Sprint points in uni hill
- Up Flagstaff and finish at the Amphitheater

- What do you think times will be from the stone bridge to the finish? A good cyclists with fresh legs can do it under 15 minutes. Under 14 minutes?

Limited numbers of spectators on Flagstaff

Sounds like there will be some sort of limited number of spectators allowed on Flag... better get there early but camping will not be allowed.

The committee did consider other finishes but the strength of the climb was too much to turn down and they wanted to bring in an aspect of of Open Space. They are hoping for some amazing helicopter shots

Bummed that they won't hit the tough part of Flagstaff, but having the race hit so many parts of town would be a good trade. Love that they plan to hit the backside of Lee Hill. This route will have a ton of amazing shots for TV...

So psyched to see the Flagstaff finish, Lee Hill, and two runs thru town. This is going to be a blast. Tough route - nicely done I say!

Is it too late to throw Magnolia in there. That would break it up and isolate the climbers for what would then be a long day on without any teammates. Plus one could watch mag and then cruise over to flag and watch there too. I'm sure the people that be, have considered it.
