Community - Boulder Velodrome Forum

We've had a lot of people ask us questions about the track from very technical to cost to racing leagues to "what's it like" and many of those we don't have the answer, therefore 303cycling has opened up the Boulder Velodrome Forum. Track racing is something more different than road racing so the barrier for entry is high. Sharing this information on questions that many have will take down that barrier and help others get into track racing. This forum could also be a place to learn more about the classes or find a league to join. Thanks for your support!

Lyons Cyclcross Race - Jan 3rd 2009

Racers asked for it so Boulder Racing is providing it. The race will take place in Lyons at the site of the 2007 State Cyclocross Championships. More information can be found here. The race flyer is here. One thing that I did see is that you will need a current ACA license. That means a 2009 license. They will be selling licenses at the race.

From Boulder Velodrome

I was there today riding in one of the classes and it was awesome! Even though I have ridden a few Velodrome (but never raced) this one is unique considering how steep the banking it and you can really feel the G forces applied to you if you come in hot on those corners. I'm hooked.. but I'm also an easy sale when it comes to bike stuff. Bad news is, Surly Steamrollers will NOT work on this track, the bottom bracket clearance is to low. But even if you don't have a bike, they have plenty you can use for free if you take a class. I will also have some video to post later. FOLKS ITS ON! Come join the 303cycling league and get ready for racing!!
