For awhile I thought single speed racing in Colorado was gaining popularity but last week's results and comparing it to Portland's number makes me wonder what is going on. When comparing participation numbers of the single speed category between Portland's Cross Crusade Series and the Boulder Series the numbers are dramatically different.
Yesterday was the first race in the Green Mountain Sports cyclocross series. The course was held in Golden at the Lookout Mountain Youth Services campus. The course had a little of everything from some nice grassy sections to some steep technical sections. The laps were long and I believe in my race we did only 5 or 6 laps. I will have to say that the race was very well run and I look forward to racing the next race in the series.

Pactimo sponsors Katie Compton
Greenwood Village, Colorado, September 14, 2009:
Pactimo announced today that it will be a sponsor and the official clothing supplier for Katie Compton during the 2009-2010 cyclocross and mountain bike season.
I thought the course was very well done. There was a good combination of pavement, grass dirt etc. The section that went inside the velodrome was interesting and I think the verdict is still out on that section. Here are a few pictures from the P-1-2 race.

Since no one at VeloCross is replying to any emails don't take what is being said as truth... having said that it appears that the course for this Sunday's VeloCross is coming together and it appears to have a "fly-out" from the Velodrome. There has been a ton of Twitter chatter on the details of this course so if anyone has any additional information to the BCR season opener event then PLEASE comment.
Found this via What was I thinking blow Watch the video below, very interesting story. Was this guy giving special treatment or just taking advantage of a situation or both?
