After more than 10 years at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU) Research Park, the CU Cycling Club is partnering with the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation to host their annual CU Short Track Series at the Valmont Bike Park.

Haid, who rides for the Trek Colorado Race Team, created eriesingletrack.com to get the word out about the town's potential to serve as a mecca for cyclists in eastern Boulder County. With an already established network of paved pedestrian and bike trails throughout town -- and the nearly completed Coal Creek Trail connection opening up a 27-mile route to Superior -- Haid said a singletrack trail could be the perfect amenity for Erie's active residents.

I used to get a kick out of watching people on foam rollers at the gym. I’d see people wince and almost cry with pain when throwing themselves over a hard cylinder type thing; also known as the foam roller. I thought, ‘What the hell are they doing to themselves and why?” Now the jokes on me.
