Friday Fun -- Lions, Tigers and U.N Nations.. Oh My!

Hard to believe that folks like this spend honest hard working money in an attempt to get elected! Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes says organizations like B-Cycle of Denver is "converting Denver into a United Nations community."

Denver Post on U.N Covert Plot
Huffington Post questions his sanity

Maes goes on to say "This is all very well-disguised, but it will be exposed," . Thank goodness, I had visions of Plankon from Spongebob the movie in my head and Plankton was going to use those cute b-cycle bikes we all love and then all at once with a push of the button brain wash us and turn into zombies

And there is more, our freedoms are at stake here folks! "This is bigger than it looks like on the surface, and it could threaten our personal freedoms,"

Whow, he had me going there for a moment, but person freedoms? For me the bicycle IS a symbol of freedom, especially to the youth, as a kid this was my way to be independant from adults and today its my way to "escape" while out on my rides.

On a serious note, Boulder rider Mara Abbott, just did an interview with Velonews and discussed with them mostly her recent victory in the Tour of Italy. But even though Mara is a top shelf cyclist, being a women still puts her in second place at best to her counter part.

A reader brought this to our attention. Here is a screen shot of the top 10 finishers from last Wednesdays Boulder Time Trial Series. Look at finisher #1 and #3. Electric assist? Is this a case of Fabian Cancellara motorized doping? Did anyone see these bikes? A little over 20 minutes on this course is fast!

Amazing video... have patience the end of it will blow your mind!

Back to a serious note, the state is still blown away by the recent actions in Black Hawk to Ban Bikes. T-shirts and bumper stickers can be worn to show your protest at DismountBlackHawk.com, according to their website 100% of the profits from the sticker sales goes to Bicycle Colorado in their Legal battle with the gambling city... what about the profits from the T-shirts?

No introduction needed with this trailer of Boulder rider Heather Irmiger doing a photo session for CyclePassion

Cool down or you'll get all sweating and smelling... or will you, the ColoradoDaily reports on How to smell OK during Boulder's Bike and Walk to Worth Month

While this posts doesn't come from the Colorado region I believe some hipsters have probably already done this and won by a landslide in Boulder. Bike vs. Car vs. Train in Philly and wins by six minutes

Few days ago I came approached a stop sign I witnessed the cycling riding in the opposite direction complete blow the sign, not even a remote pause while I and another driver watched. I yelled, "hey you forgot to stop" in return I got the WTF look. Thanks Bike Denver for the Public Service Announcements

If the weather gets you depressed for this weekend, then step out and check out the 150 years of bikes at the Longmont Museum. Want to know more about before you go then check out the review made by Jenn Fields.

Still don't feel like riding, check this out!

Still don't feel like riding this weekend? Then roll up your sleeves Saturday and help BMA build a new trail at Betasso and if that makes you hungry then show up Sunday at Community Cycles Pancake Breakfast

Still not motivated?

For any of you who have been attended a race where David Towle had announced then you will want this ring tone of David saying One to go One to go One to go. And BTW, Daivd Towle is looking to fill his Fall announcing schedule.

And coming this spring to a Boulder theater near you April 28th, the film below
