Travel/Cycling restrictions established in James Canyon

News Item: 



Boulder County, Colo. – Due to continued recovery and repair operations associated with the 2013 Flood, Boulder County is re-establishing restrictions on non-local traffic, including bicycles. The restrictions are in James Canyon from the junction with Left Hand Canyon, through Jamestown, to the junction with State Highway 72 (Peak to Peak). Restrictions will go into effect immediately.

CO 119 underpass = safer passage for cyclists.

Work has begun on a Boulder County project intended to increase the safety of cyclists and pedestrians crossing Colo. 119 at Airport Road, as well as the motorists who sometimes now have to veer to avoid them.

Lyons, CO — Oskar Blues Brewery and the Town of Lyons announced this week that despite the September flooding that damaged the majority of the town’s parks and rec areas—the popular Burning CAN Beer Festival and Lyons Outdoor Games (http://lyonsoutdoors.com/) will once again bring together beer lovers and outdoor adventure under views of Rocky Mountain National Park in the unaffected areas of Bohn Park.

Volunteers needed for Boulder’s Walk and Bike Month 2014

BOULDER — Organizers of Boulder’s 38th annual Walk & Bike Month are seeking volunteers for the 75+ events planned for June. Be a part of one of the largest Walk and Bike Month’s in the nation and help celebrate Boulder’s unique and nationally-recognized pedestrian and bicycle culture.

Volunteers help with everything from distributing posters to offering administrative support. Dates and hours are flexible.
