With an eight-year history of fun on bikes, the Denver Cruiser Ride morphs into a city-wide bike party. On May 15th, 2013 - the 20 week, two-wheeled bike party will evolve into Denver Bike Night -- still a frivolous combination of costumed themes and fun on bicycles; thousands of individuals will descend on the city’s streets this summer to take part in what will continue to be one of Denver’s signature bicycle-oriented events.

Boulder considers 2014 Pro Cycling stage, Ironman triathlon

News Item: 

Local organizers are hoping Boulder will again host a stage of the elite USA Pro Cycling Challenge in 2014, and Ironman officials have approached the city about hosting a full triathlon here as well.

Both possibilities are in the planning phases, with a local organizing committee preparing to bid in November for a stage next year and Ironman in a "very early exploratory stage" of a Boulder competition.

USA Cycling announces partnership with Strava

Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 24, 2013) – USA Cycling, the national governing body for all disciplines of competitive cycling in the United States, on Wednesday announced a partnership with Strava, the social fitness application for dedicated athletes, that provides a richer membership and training experience for USA Cycling members.

100 hours of community service for driver in death with cyclist.

Kirk Condon, the driver who struck and killed Boulder athlete Terence "T.J." Doherty while he was riding his bicycle last July, was sentenced to 100 hours of community service Monday after accepting a plea deal with prosecutors that spared him jail time. From the Daily Camera
