Start Date: 07/21/2012
End Date: 07/23/2012
Location: Copper Mountain, CO

Description:
A renowned cycling event in Colorado since 1989, the Courage Classic is a three-day journey fueled by individual and team fundraising efforts that benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado. More than 2,000 cyclists, hundreds of volunteers, and several sponsors and friends participate each year to support the greatest needs of Children’s Colorado. Beginning and ending in Leadville, this 157-mile course through Summit County during the summertime makes it one of the most picturesque cycling tours in the state.

Interested participants are encouraged to register early as last year’s event sold out in June.

Participation fees for the event are as follows: $95 for adults (ages 16 and older) and $50 for children (ages 15 and younger). In addition to the registration fee, adult riders must raise a minimum of $300 in donations and child riders must raise a minimum of $125. The funds raised by all Courage Classic riders benefit the Children’s Fund to help Children's Colorado sustain and improve care for every patient. Last year alone, the Courage Classic raised more than $2.1 million to help make this possible.

2011 Pedal for Nets

Aug. 14-17

Pedal for Nets is an annual charity bike ride along Colorado’s Front Range. The ride will take cyclists on a great 3 day, 160 mile loop through Longmont, Windsor, Estes Park before ending back in Longmont.

Why ride? Malaria is a deadly mosquito-borne disease that affects millions each year in Africa and around the world. Nearly one million people die from malaria each year, mostly children younger than five years old. Just one $12 insecticide-treated net can save three people from needless suffering or possible death from malaria.
