2012 - US Cyclocross Nationals

Colorado still had an impressive year at Nationals cleaning up 17 top 3 podium spots, down from 27 in 2010 and 2009 but still very good relative to the remaining 49 states. Big Colorado disappointments, come from bad luck on Brady Kapius and course tape from hell Amy D being too sick to compete in the women's Elite field. Impressive and nice to see Walter from Durango is still racing in the 80+ field.

With the move of USA Cycling’s national cyclocross from mid December to early January, some racers are worried about losing form over the holidays, when the elite U.S. cyclocross scene shuts down.

Promotors in Chicago are looking to fill that gap with The New Year’s Resolution, a two day UCI 2.0 event to be held New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, IL just outside Chicago
